Wagering requirements explained
Wagering, also called rollover or playthrough, is the rule that turns bonus money into withdrawable money. It is the single most important term of any bonus and the most common reason a withdrawal is blocked. Once you can do the arithmetic, every offer becomes easy to compare.
How wagering works
The requirement is a multiplier applied to a base. If the base is the bonus and the multiplier is 35x, a bonus of 100 units requires 3,500 units of bets. If the base is deposit plus bonus, a 100-unit deposit with a 100-unit bonus at 35x requires 7,000 units. These figures are examples only; the real multiplier and base are in the Betgorillas bonus terms. Bets are counted by stake, not by loss: a 10-unit spin counts as 10 units whether it wins or loses.
Game contribution
Not every bet counts fully. Slots commonly contribute 100 percent, while table games, live casino and some low-risk bets contribute a fraction or nothing. If blackjack contributes 10 percent, every 100 units bet on blackjack counts as 10. The contribution table in the terms decides how long the requirement really takes for the games you prefer.
Bonus balance and real balance
Casinos either play real money first and bonus money second, or treat both as one locked balance. In the first model you can sometimes withdraw your remaining real money by forfeiting the bonus; in the second you cannot withdraw anything until the rollover is complete. Know which model applies before you start.
Time limit and maximum bet
Requirements come with a deadline — a number of days after the bonus is credited. Unfinished wagering at the deadline means the bonus and its winnings are removed. While the bonus is active, a maximum bet per spin or round applies; exceeding it, even once, can void the winnings. These two rules catch more players than the multiplier itself.
Tracking your progress
Most accounts show a progress bar or a remaining amount in the bonus section. Check it before each session and again before requesting a withdrawal. If the numbers do not match your own estimate, ask support which games were counted at which rate.
Is the requirement realistic?
Estimate your typical bet and session length. Divide the required turnover by your typical stake to get the number of bets needed, then ask whether you will place that many before the deadline without raising stakes or deposits. If the answer is no, decline the bonus.
Example figures on this page are for illustration only. The real amounts, percentages, wagering and deadlines are set by Betgorillas, can change at any time and are shown in the bonus terms and the cashier.
